Raaz: Reboot, the fourth edition of horror stories of Raaz’s series by Vikram Bhatt featuring Emraan Hashmi, Gaurav Arora, and Kriti Kharbanda moderately managed to impress the audience.

Raaz Reboot Movie Review – Actor Performances

Raaz Reboot is a horror movie with scarce thrilling effect and definitely a predictable script, although the cast did justice to their roles especially our serial kisser Emraan Hashmi but still couldn’t save the movie. Gaurav Arora did a good job, this was his second film in Bollywood after not so flop Love Games, Kriti Kharbanda apart from looking beautiful was not that impressive, and she surely needs to brush up her acting skills.

Raaz Reboot Movie Review – Story

The story is followed by a couple who recently shifted their base to Romania hiring a luxurious house after Rehaan (Gaurav Arora) got a chance for a better promising job.

All was going well until Shaina (Kriti Kharbanda) realized their romance in life was missing and some negative energy is keeping her husband away from her. She tried to confront the matter with her husband but didn’t work as he was under the spell; this assured her that the house was haunted.

Or is it that Rehaan (Gaurav Arora) was hiding some kind of ‘Raaz’ with him? Meanwhile, Shaina meets her ex, Aditya (Emraan Hashmi) and narrates the incidents and much to her sigh Aditya got convinced and also agrees to help her. but the question lies will he be able to fight the evil spirits and free Shaina from the situation?

Raaz Reboot Movie Review – Hit or Miss

The backdrops were not convincing; like a how can a person design a modern luxury house with antique furniture? I mean it doesn’t even match the scene. The songs were nothing great, soothing though but again not impressive to download.

Raaz starring Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea embarked Bollywood horror movies, but the series followed were quite predictable and couldn’t accomplish the thrill of a horror story. Moreover, the story resembles Hollywood movie Exorcist and 1920 love story, thus leaving it quite predictable.

We need new ghosts!

Is it very hard for Mr. Bhatt to try a new ghost character? And why does the ghost always hound on the girlfriends or wife of the house when the so-called ghost has a clear intention of hurting the man only. Eventually, the same old story follows, disbelieving the woman and realizing the mistake late enough to stop. But one thing every has to agreed Mr. Bhatt always cast a sexy ghost changing the concept of the ghost look. Being a heterosexual man I don’t have any issues if these ghosts are all around me, but before that got to reboot my senses.

Final Verdict

Honestly, the movie is not a bad watch; it is entertaining but failed with the tag of horror movie series. You might end up giggling at few horror scenes but that will prove friends and family of your bravery. The film will climb the box office but won’t make any achievement mark on the audience. Personally, I feel Raaz was one of the best Bollywood horror movies that have left the audience thrilled, unlike the following series.
