Randeep Hooda’s and Kajal Aggarwal’s ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’ released on Friday, 10th June 2016. As expected, the romantic flick garnered much appreciation from critics and audience alike and is showing good result in theatres. Although the box office collection of the flick on its first day of release was not much, but it is modest enough taking in account the fact that theatres are flooded with some great movies at this time.

1st Day Box Office Collection of Do Lafzon Ki Kahani

The Box Office has seen a modest profit on the very first day of the release of Do Lafzon Ki Kahani. The movie is screened across 612 theatres in India and is received well by the audience. Its first day Box Office Collection is Rs. 1.03 crores, which is a noteworthy amount taking into consideration its competitors in the market.

The movie starring Randeep Hooda as Sooraj and Kajal Aggarwal as Jenny is a romantic cum action movie with a simple yet lovely story line. The acting of the couple is impactful and the direction of Deepak Tijori appreciable. The production house has exploited every possible media to promote this romantic flick.

On Friday, another movie ‘Te3n’ starring Vidya Balan, Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui was released in India. The movie covered more than 1000 screens across the country. This suspense thriller by Ribhu Dasgupta has done slightly better than Do Lafzon Ki Kahani at Box Office. It earned Rs. 2.61 crores on its first day of release.

Anyhow, both the movies are distinct in the genre and are doing well in theatres, taking into account the huge difference in a number of screens they have occupied in India and their parallel storyline.

Some other movies which are affecting the box office collection of this Deepak Tijori’s directed romantic flick movie are The Conjuring, The Beginning and Houseful 3. While Houseful 3 has been poorly rated by critics, it is still taking away a huge share of the audience with its big star cast and full-on entertainment genre. On the other hand, The Conjuring and The Beginning are the much awaited Hollywood movies and why the audience preferred these flicks over DLKK is well-justified.

Do Lafzon Ki Kahani – Story and Expectations from the Coming Week

The story of Do Lafzon Ki Kahani takes inspiration from a Korean movie named, ‘Always’.

It revolves around Sooraj (Randeep Hooda), who is a mixed martial arts warrior. The protagonist falls head over heels in love with Jenny (Kajal Aggarwal) and strives to buy an imported cornea for the love of her life. Though there are less romantic scenes in the movie, but the little scenes in which the two share screen space are intense and worth admiring.

The biggest attraction of the movie is the fight scenes when Randeep Hooda enters the ring. The only major drawback of the movie is dialogues which are far less impactful than its story and performance of the actors.

Overall, the movie is getting a good response from both audience and critics and is expected to do much better at the box office on the weekend and in coming week.
